'La Double' occupies almost half the space of Neuvic Canton. 'Sylva Edobola', mysterious and impenetrable forest of the 18th century, became, thanks to the work and determination of its inhabitants, a privileged area, where the true nature can be seen.
One of the main feature is La Double's traditional housing. No stone here, old houses were built with wood, mud and straw.
For 73th 'Félibrée' in Neuvic, a 'La Double' area was located by buiding 'La Double' houses and a pond.
On Lilan Longaud's advice, the exact copy of a house from Lagarde, in St Michel-de-Double, was buit by Gilbert Vergnaud, an artist and an artisan, specialised in that sort of construction.
