The Château de Barrière, namesake to the Castle in Périgueux, is a medieval fortress located in the heart of Villamblard, built in the 12th century, around a square keep. Damaged over the centuries the castle, the castle was the birthplace of Count Wilgrin de Taillefer and you can visit today the renovated parts or participate to some events organized inside each year: conferences, concerts, exhibitions and plays, which turned the status of ruins of this castle to the cultural center of the village.
