Listed as "Picturesque and historical site of Dordogne", the former former castle, became in the eighteenth century the home of the famous Bertin family.
Restored during 35 years by the owner, passionate ceramist, the site preserves its charm and authenticity.
Visitors can discover the unusual underground refuge (with unique access in Périgord), opening on rooms furnished in the spirit of Périgord of the past, as well as on temporary exhibition areas.
The pottery workshop, created at the beginning of the 19th century, displays decorative and utilitarian ceramics, in the style of the Middle Ages and ancient times, elaborated here from the clay quarry and wood-burning ovens of the site.
